The club provides support in times of crisis, as well as helping resolve routine claims, offering a prompt, flexible response and understanding commercial realities.  Local people have access to the global support of 53 Charles Taylor offices and approximately 600 correspondents.

In handling any claims, club staff can provide initial advice, help establish the facts of the accident and any potential liabilities and actively manage costs.  Experienced staff can determine who to instruct to help, the time scale to avoid delays to sail, whether club’s letter of guarantee is necessary, etc.

In the case of a major casualty, club staff will activate an emergency response plan, establish response centres and manage any media response needed.
